Check their credentials
Real estate agents can come with various credentials that testify to their experience and training. Have you ever wondered what the difference is between a real estate agent and a realtor? While all realtors are real estate agents, not all real estate agents are realtors.
That is because the realtor title is only given to those who are members of the National Association of Realtors and who have undergone special training, demonstrated their skills, and adhere to the organization’s code of ethics.

Search for reviews
Thanks to popular online review platforms such as Yelp, most real estate agents will have reviews online. Watch out for warning signs
